Junsoo Kwon DMD Dental Director
Dr. Junsoo Kwon received his Bachelor of Arts in Cell Biology & Neuroscience and Psychology from Rutgers University. He then received his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He further engages in advanced dental education through various postdoctoral courses in all aspects of dentistry and holds membership in a number of prestigious organizations including Academy of General Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation.
Dr. Kwon practices general dentistry for all ages and population with a strong background in evidence-based dentistry and patient empowerment through communication. It is his professional commitment to delivering excellent and satisfactory dental service to his patients through continuous learning.
Dr. Marie Maher – DDS
Dr. Marie Maher is an exceptionally well-educated member of Ipswich Bay Dental, having earned her Doctorate of Dental Science (D.D.S.) from the University of Maryland Dental School, her Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Chemistry from the highly-acclaimed Stanford University in 2016, in addition to having pursued undergraduate coursework at Yale University, and accruing the highest undergraduate degree level of Summa Cum Laude for her Bachelors of Science (B.S.) in Chemistry from University of Texas, Dallas in 2008. Dr. Maher’s research and publications include her doctoral dissertation for Stanford, “Identification and characterization of inhibitors of amyloids and amyloid-based biofilm in E. coli through cell-based high-throughput screening” (2016), a publication in ACS Infectious Diseases entitled “Cell-Based High-Throughput Screening Identifies Rifapentine as an Inhibitor of Amyloid and Biofilm Formation in Escherichia coli” (2015), and “Oral Leukoplakia on the Tongue Dorsum: an Uncommon Site of Occurrence of Oral Dysplasia,” which received the Organization of Teachers of Oral Diagnosis (OTOD) case report award at the American Academy of Oral Medicine Annual Meeting in 2023. Since joining Ipswich Bay Dental, she has experienced success in rigorous implant training programs, both in surgery and restorations, and in oral conscious sedation, as well as CAD/CAM dentistry training.
Aside from her prestigious educational background and extensive career experience, Dr. Maher is highly skilled in interpersonal communication and fosters strong, friendly relationships with both patients and coworkers, greeting everyone she meets with a smile and a warm “hello.” Dr. Maher seems to devote more hours than are in each day to her patients, ensuring that each one is satisfied with their smile and service at Ipswich Bay Dental. Dr. Maher is not only empathetic, but goes above and beyond in every possible sense of the phrase in order to provide the best possible care to every patient, regardless of their background or clinical needs. Dr. Maher’s compassionate character, while self-evident, is epitomized in her history of community service, including her current volunteer position with Animal Rescue, Inc., as well as her previous volunteer work as a student in organizations such as UMB President’s Student Leadership Institute and Stanford Chemistry Outreach. To say the very least, it would be difficult to find a dental provider who is kinder and more competent than Dr. Marie Maher, whose personality and experience are a crescendo of admirable qualities.
Heejeong Son DMD General Dentist / Esthetician
Dr. Son completed her undergraduate education at University of Notre Dame and received her DMD degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She entered the field of dentistry because of her passion and desire for creating beautiful smiles that look and feel confident. She strives to improve patient’s confidence with various skin therapies (Neurotoxin, Filler and Lifting) and she has been dedicated to taking continuing education courses on facial esthetics.
She truly believes in patient centered care in which she works with you to choose the treatment that best suits your needs. With her soft touch and engaging personality, Dr. Son maintains high standards in patient care. When she is not in the office, she enjoys spending her time with her dogs, Kuma and Woong.
Beckie – Dental Hygienist
Beckie is a grad of Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists and has a degree from Northeastern University. She is committed to the overall health and well being of her patients and delivers exceptional periodontal therapy. In her spare time, she volunteers at the New England Aquarium.

Molly grew up in South Florida and moved to Massachusetts in 2019. She has experience as a Technician and Phlebotomist at a local hospital. She’s an animal lover and enjoys traveling, going to concerts, spending every minute she can at the beach, paddle boarding and spending time with family and friends.

Cayden is a lover of all things artistic and a proud cat parent. When he is not lavishing attention on my cats, you’ll find him diving into the world of creativity. He finds solace in the art of meditation, carving out quiet moments to center himself and find inner peace. Other than art, books are his sanctuary, helping to expand my horizons. Paulo Coelho is one of his favorite authors, with his profound stories inspiring him to embrace self-discovery and personal growth.
